Marcus Handman is a graduate in Theatre and Film from the University of British Columbia, with post graduate studies at Simon Fraser University, the Kellogg School of Management and the Banff Centre’s Television Executive program. His 45 year management career has spanned a broad range of disciplines in the performing arts, as well as the world of television and film. Marcus served in a senior executive capacity with organizations such as the Victoria Symphony, Pacific Opera Victoria and Opera Lyra Ottawa. Media assignments have included the Directors Guild of Canada and the International Cinematographers Guild. He is currently on the Board of the Victoria Film Festival, and is an active volunteer with Variety the Children’s Charity. Marcus is the Executive Director for Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, where he is mentoring the next generation of arts manager.
