Sarah Farrell is General Counsel and Director of HR at Soulpepper Theatre Company, and Counsel at Pinewood Toronto Studios. She is President of the Toronto Fringe Festival's Board of Directors.  Sarah previously worked as a sole practitioner providing advice and advocacy to arts and media organizations. Her clients ranged from not-for-profit theatre companies, to major film studios, to national news media organizations. Prior to starting her own practice, Sarah was General Counsel to Dancap Productions, one of Canada’s largest commercial theatre companies. Before embarking on her law career she co-founded The Toronto Festival of Clowns, and worked for over 15 years with some of Canada’s most influential entertainment organizations, including Mirvish Productions, Canadian Stage, The Second City, CBC Television, and Sun TV. Sarah earned her J.D. from Queen’s University and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
